ABERDEEN, Miss. (WTVA) - His entrance was fit for a king. Police escorts, a limousine and people were waiting on his arrival, with cameras flashing. Lea Lawrence, front and center, shares her dreams with the Leake Academy varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders. Diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a common form of childhood cancer, Lawrence wished for a trip to Disney World, and the cheerleaders raised $1,658 for the Foundation and the trip. They also made Lawrence their guest of honor during their Christmas party, making it a Princess Party, complete with crown scepter and glass slippers. Read More
