Make-A-Wish® Mississippi names Rod Henderson the new Senior Director of Development
Make-A-Wish Mississippi has named Rod Henderson as its new Senior Director of Development. Rod will work with the staff, Board of Directors and supporters across the State to promote the Make-A-Wish mission of “granting wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.”

His strengths and leadership ability align perfectly with our goals and plans for increased fundraising and outreach to wish families in our State”, said Brent Wilson, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Mississippi.
Henderson joins the organization with a strong leadership and business background. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Birmingham Southern College and a Master of Business Administration from Mississippi State University. He began his professional career in the communications industry and most recently served in a management role in the banking industry.
Make-A-Wish Mississippi selected Henderson after interviewing several highly qualified prospective candidates compiled by The PACE Group, a national search firm.

Henderson and his wife, Laura, live in Madison with their three children, Bo, Mary Claire and Adeline. He will start his new position November 18, 2013.
