Watertree Health® Announce 2017 March Madness Bracket Challenge
Ridgeland, MS March 1, 2017 - Make-A- Wish® grants the most heartfelt wishes of children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions to provide hope and positive motivation while they endure long rounds of medical treatment. This year, the organization has partnered with Watertree Health for a second time to present Bracket Challenge 2017 during March to fundraise for wish kids. Participants will match wits with SuperTalk’s Matt Wyatt and Richard Cross while helping Make-A- Wish create some truly transformational wish experiences during Wish Madness.
Although no donation is required to participate, every dollar raised will be used to grant the most heartfelt wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. In fact, every donation will be matched 1:1 up to $30,000 thanks to our corporate partners:
· Watertree Health - WatertreeHealthCard.com/WISHMS
· Palm Beach Tan - PalmBeachTan.com
· Mississippi Sports Medicine - MississippiSportsMedicine.com
To participate in the Make-A-Wish Mississippi Bracket Challenge and/or make a difference by making a donation, please visit the official website of www.WishMadness.org. Those who register by March 10 will be eligible for a special prize. The official tournament bracket will be released Sunday, March 12th and brackets will be closed prior to opening game on March 16th. Prize winners will be selected and receive either a pair of Costa Sunglasses, $150 Visa gift card or a basketball signed by MSU basketball great and Watertree Health President Shane Power, Matt, Richard and wish kid Magnolia.
President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Mississippi, Brent Wilson said, “A wish brings hope, strength and joy to a child battling a life-threatening medical condition. Your gifts, along with our partners, will help us reach every eligible child. Thank you for your support.”
Starting March 1, Watertree Health is giving individuals a way to raise additional funds for Make-A-Wish at no cost to them through a special promotion. During the entire month of March, Watertree Health will donate $1.50 to Make-A-Wish Mississippi the first time someone saves using the free prescription discount card benefitting the organization: WatertreeHealthCard.com/WishMS. Every time after that, even after March ends, a donation of $0.50 is made. The card can be used by anyone to save up to 75% on brand name and generic prescriptions, and it is accepted at 95% of all pharmacies.
Shane said, “Granting the wishes of Mississippi kids is particularly moving for me as a former basketball player for Mississippi State and long-time supporter of Make-A-Wish America. I am deeply grateful that my Company is able to sponsor the wishes of these children, and provide their entire family with many happy memories. There is nothing more I’d like to do than to help grant the wish of every eligible child. Please help us in this mission.”
About Make-A-Wish Mississippi:
Make-A-Wish Mississippi grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. According to a recent study of wish impact, most health professionals surveyed believe a wish-come-true has positive impacts on the health of children. Kids say wishes give them renewed strength to fight their illness, and their parents say these experiences help strengthen the entire family. Mississippi’s chapter, based in Ridgeland and Gulfport, with the help of generous donors and volunteers grants at least 100 wishes a year. Visit Make-A-Wish at www.ms.wish.org to learn more.
