Journey of Terry, Mississippi is a creative and fun-loving, four-year-old girl. Journey is just like any other child except for the fact that she was diagnosed with aortic valve stenosis at birth.
This has been very difficult for her family to endure, but it hasn’t stopped Journey from being the creative child that she is. She loves using her imagination whether she’s inside playing with her toys or outside blowing bubbles in the back yard. Along with a deep-rooted love for animals and nature, it seems only fitting that Journey would wish to go to Puerto Rico, and that’s exactly what Make-A-Wish Mississippi did for her.
Just last year Make-A-Wish Mississippi sent Journey, her parents, and her sister to Puerto Rico where they had the exciting opportunity to visit with exotic animals and swim in the clear, blue water. Journey’s mother, Natasha, recalls the trip with enthusiasm: “Everything about the trip was awesome. The water, the animals at the jaguar refuge, the geckoes lodge, the privacy, and the convenience. Best vacation ever!”
Journey and her family had a blast on their vacation. To this day, Journey continues to talk about her Puerto Rican adventure, and it is sure to be one that she will never forget.
