River Hills club gives employees the option to contribute to Make-A-Wish Mississippi during each of their pay periods. Together, the employees at River Hills work to make wishes come true. Workplace giving campaigns are a time-honored tradition, but the benefits do not solely belong to the charity receiving the donation. “It means a great deal to the team at River Hills to do something as a group for someone that is deserving. It also helps the employee group accomplish something that no single employee could do on their own,” said Spence.
This year, River Hills Club raised enough funds through their workplace giving program to Fund-A-Wish. Together, the employees celebrated Wish Kid Hannah. Hannah and her family were greeted by smiling employees as they showered her with gifts at her Wish Reveal party that took place at River Hills Club. Hannah was overwhelmed with joy. The party was complete with a cake depicting her favorite college team, her name spelled in chocolates, her favorite meal (spaghetti) and lots of balloons. Later, she even got to meet the Club’s tennis pro, who also came from her favorite college!
Since 2009, River Hills has granted three wishes for Make-A-Wish Mississippi. Visit our website for more information on Workplace Giving: ms.wish.org/workplacegiving.
