Kids For Wish Kids is a popular program because it is managed by kids. The program allows K-12 students to raise funds and help grant wishes for kids with life-threatening medical conditions.

Students are responsible for the program - from brainstorming fundraising ideas and developing plans of action, to seeing the ideas come to fruition. Teachers and parents often serve as advisers, but ownership of the project belongs solely to the kids involved.

Kids and teens choose an idea for a fundraiser and then organize and manage their project from start to finish. Opportunities to raise funds through the Kids For Wish Kids program are endless!  Fundraising examples include:

• Penny Wars
• Dress Down Days
• Read-A-Thons
• Bake Sales
• Car Washes
• Pie-In-The Face Contests

In addition to helping in getting wished granted, students walk away with a better understanding of:

Kids For Wish Kids take the court to help grant wishes.

• Community service
• Volunteering
• Leadership skills
• Money management
• School spirit
• Teamwork
• Entrepreneurship

The opportunities to get involved and raise funds for Kids For Wish Kids are endless – anything from hosting a dance marathon, bake sale or penny wars. It’s all up to you and your friends!

Become a Sponsor

Make-A-Wish is lucky to have the support of business that give anywhere between $500-$20,000 a year! When events and fundraising opportunities roll around, you too can have a chance to make a contribution of any size-- all of which goes directly to granting a wish of a child in Mississippi!

How We Grant Wishes

There are four steps to granting a wish. Each step builds on the next to help create the amazing experiences that delight wish kids and their families. A wish experience is frequently a source of inspiration for children undergoing difficult medical treatments and a positive force that helps them overcome their obstacles. A wish experience is often more than a dream come true: It’s the catalyst that rekindles their belief in themselves and the promise of their future.
