Danica wishes to be a STAR!

Danica's HERO

“ If there is one thing Danica is... it's a star! ”

If six-year-old Danica is anything…it’s a star!

Danica with LimoThe magical wish day started with Danica and her family being picked up in a white stretch Hummer limo and taken to The Studio Salon & Spa in Hattiesburg where the ladies of the Epsilon Delta Chapter of Chi Omega at USM awaited her. red carpet was rolled out and dozens of adoring fans lined the streets screaming her name, “Danica! Danica!” The paparazzi was also out in full swing as Danica arrived at the salon. As Danica and her personal assistant, the current Miss Hattiesburg, made it safely inside, Danica was pampered from head to toe…getting her makeup expertly done, her nails and toes painted in the perfect shade of pink and by request, two blue braids hanging down to her shoulders (Danica was so excited her hair had started to grow back!)

Once Danica was primped from head to toe, she slipped on an adorable and funky pink ballerina dress and headed to shop at her favorite stores, Giggles, Belk’s and Claire’s, where she picked out stunning outfits and accessories. After a long day of shopping, Danica and her entourage were spotted at O’Charley’s where she couldn’t resist striking a few poses for the waitstaff and her adoring fans.

After lunch, Danica was rushed to the Chi Omega house so she wouldn’t be late for her photo shoot and fashion show! Danica also enjoyed two of her favorite things, strawberry cupcakes and gummy worms, with all of her fans. At the end of her magical day, Danica waved goodbye and blew kisses to her screaming fans as she got back in her limo and headed back home…a true star! Danica’s wish came true thanks to to her wish adopter, International Workplace Professionals.

How We Grant Wishes

There are four steps to granting a wish. Each step builds on the next to help create the amazing experiences that delight wish kids and their families. A wish experience is frequently a source of inspiration for children undergoing difficult medical treatments and a positive force that helps them overcome their obstacles. A wish experience is often more than a dream come true: It’s the catalyst that rekindles their belief in themselves and the promise of their future.
